RUNNING COLD WATER: DOES IT REALLY COOL A ROOM?

Many folks believe running cold water through some pipe system can slightly cool their room. While it's true that moving any water does carry heat, the effect on a whole room is negligible. Cold water mainly refreshes the air, not cooling the entire space. The amount of heat transferred by a small quantity of cold water is relatively low. Ambient
